A NATION-WIDE RELIEF WORK INITIATIVE BY NAGALOKA
Field work report from Covid19 respond volunteers on ground across India
Winter Relief Work
Hundreds of poor people die every year due to winter only due to shortage of clothes that can keep them warm. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of the able people who can be useful to the needy. If we bring these clothes to any needy, then it will be a great help for them.
Our Actions in Figure
India, like many parts of the world right now, is under a strict lockdown due to the Corona Virus (COVID19) pandemic. This situation has affected everyone, irrespective of their caste, religion, race, gender, or nationality.
However, people from already vulnerable and disadvantaged communities are suffering even more. This includes those from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Castes, daily wage labourers, widows, and elderly people, to name a few. They are truly the worst affected in this crisis.
We, the alumni of Nagarjuna Training Institute along with the Nagaloka team, are distributing food provisions, soap, masks, and spreading awareness about the crisis, and providing emotional support to those who are suffering. We are working on the ground, and coordinating with private and government authorities where possible, in towns and villages all over India.
We request you to donate to our relief fund in order to continue our work for the coming months. No amount is too small.
COVID19 RESPOND TEAM
Our outreach extends to major states of India, with registered State Coordinators in each area. You can access the entire list and contact them directly here. The State Coordinators will then work with Field Volunteers to help you at the earliest possible.
At present we have over 104 Field Volunteers actively working for COVID-19 Respond in 18 different states across India.
