Ration Distribution in Divan, Arunachal Pradesh

Field Work Report:

Volunteer’s Name: Buddha Kumar Chakma
Location of Work: Divan, Miao Subdivision, Changlang district
State: Arunachal Pradesh
Team Members involved: Buddha Kumar Chakma
Work details: NTI alumni Buddha Kumar Chakma has taken it upon himself to survey 12 villages in the Divan area or Changlang district. He has listed 180 families who need support. Through the NTI Covid-19 Relief Fund, he has been able to support 90 families who need very urgent help with their ration requirement. These 90 families received rice, mustard oil, and salit. The heads of the villages in which he distributed ration also came forward to help him with this work.

Beneficiaries Quantity: 360 people, 90 families
Beneficiaries Details: The Chakma community, which mainly includes daily wage labourers and poor farmers. Beneficiaries also included widows.

Remarks:
The Chakma Buddhist community is very happy for what they have received, thanks to the Nagarjuna Training Institute and its Covid-19 relief fund. There are still 90 more families that are in need of essentials, and they will receive them when Nagaloka is able to send more money for this relief effort in Arunachal Pradesh.
