Volunteer’s Name: Gyan Bauddh (Ganesh Chandra)
Location of Work: District-Kannuj, Chhibramau (Badepur, Nagla jor, Ghirdharpur, Nagla Lita)
State: Uttar Pradesh
Team Members involved: Akash Deep, Nandkishor, Ramanandan, Tirth Raj Bauddh
Work details: It has been a very difficult time across India, and especially in rural Uttar Pradesh. Although it has been officially announced that marginalised communities will receive the necessary ration from local shops, the villages that our Nagaloka alumni here come from have not received any government help. The situation is worsening day by day. Nagaloka was able to send some support, with which our alumni in Kannuj district identified the most needy people, and were able to provide them with ration of pulses, flour, oil, salt, chilli, coriander, turmeric, cumin, potatoes, and soap.
Beneficiaries Quantity: 15 families
Beneficiaries Details: Very poor slum dwellers
Remarks:
Disappointed and helpless people were in hope of some kind of help in this crisis, but they did not receive any from the government. They are very satisfied with the help they received through Nagaloka. Due to extension of the lockdown, they hope for more help and our support.
