Work Details: Migrant workers and people living in slum areas continue to face uncertainties, and have been left without work, money, or food in this national level lockdown. The NTI Alumni in Hyderabad made a list of migrant workers who were stuck in Hyderabad. Most of them belong to the states of Odisha and Bihar and have been working in small scale industries. The alumni also conducted surveys of poor families in slum areas of Hyderabad. They were then able to supply these people with ration kits containing rice, dal, oil, soap, detergent, tea powder, sugar, chili powder, and tamarind.

Remarks:
The migrants and slum area families were very happy to receive the ration, and they could not stop thanking us. We assured them that they could contact us directly for more assistance or help during this lockdown.
